More Transition Law People Required!

In 2018, We created Transition Law S.H.I.E.L.D. the Business and Consumer Support and Accreditation Programme to Provide Recognition for GDPR Compliant Businesses across the UK.

Due to the success of the programme we need some additional Transition Law People to promote the benefits of  S.H.I.E.L.D. to businesses in their local areas. Full details are below.

GDPR and Data Protection Compliance is a legal requirement for ALL businesses.

In the same way that Vehicle Insurance is not optional, all businesses of any size MUST be compliant with GDPR and be able to demonstrate compliance to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), the public and all their Suppliers and Trading Partners in Business.

Some business owners are surprised when a Supplier or a Customer asks them if they are GDPR compliant but they shouldn’t be. The Supplier or Contractor has a legal duty to make the enquiry and when a Customer asks they are showing they are smart enough not to give their money or personal details to a business that can’t be trusted with it!

The KEY words here are demonstrate compliance. It is what the Regulator looks for in the event of a problem. It is often overlooked but compliance is only part of the objective. Savvy business owners use the FACT of their compliance to their advantage to improve Sales, Customer Relations and Profits!

Transition Law developed S.H.I.E.L.D. to allow any compliant businesses to demonstrate their compliant status at the click of a button. Membership of S.H.I.E.L.D. is FREE OF CHARGE to any compliant business and provides useful Member Benefits such as Free Legal Advice, Connects them to other compliant businesses to trade with and use of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, reassuring the Public that as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Holder they can be trusted with their Personal data.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We need to get the S.H.I.E.L.D. Programme message to EVERY Business - and YOU can help us do it!

What is a Brand Influencer?

A Brand Influencer is someone who believes in the intrinsic value of a Product or Service and wants to increase the knowledge and raise awareness of it to the General public and potential end users.

Often a Brand Influencer is an early adopter who makes assessments or tests the proposition to establish its value and usefulness in the marketplace.

To reach a wide audience of potential product or service users a Brand Influencer may use Social Media or Word of Mouth advocacy along with more traditional marketing and promotional methodology and tools.

What is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Brand Influencer?

A S.H.I.E.L.D. Brand Influencer is an individual or group of individuals who understand the inherent value of the Transition Law S.H.I.E.L.D. Business Support and Accreditation Programme.

Our Brand Influencers understand that every business is legally required to comply with Data Protection Regulations. They know that businesses who do not comply with the Regulations risk heavy fines, Prosecution and 'Naming & Shaming' on the Regulators Website.

They also know that, once compliant, a wise Business Owner will advertise that fact to help them gain new business and use their compliant status to reassure both new and existing customers.

Our Brand Influencers believe that Transition Law S.H.I.E.L.D. is the best and most effective way for a business to demonstrate their Data Protection compliance and they know about the wide ranging Member Benefits available to all S.H.I.E.L.D. Holders.

Above all else, they know the value of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Programme of accreditation, which demonstrates its own impartiality and transparency because it cannot be bought or its reputation improperly affected because a  S.H.I.E.L.D. Membership is only available to a compliant business and is always completely FREE OF CHARGE!

How Do Brand Influencers Get Paid?

To ensure impartiality and maintain the professional standing of our Brand Influencers, we follow a simple set of identification and business practice protocols which are applied to all Prospective Clients:

1) We offer a series of Free introductory Legal Services to prospective S.H.I.E.L.D. holders. Our Brand Influencers all agree to promote these free services, in exchange for recognition that the prospect has arrived via their influence.

What is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Ambassador?

The S.H.I.E.L.D. Ambassador Programme is a 'White Collar' Professional Business Opportunity operated under a business Licence issued by Transition Law

The number of Ambassador licences is strictly limited.

Ambassadors work nationally within the UK and build on the existing network of contacts Transition Law has built up. We can provide you with warm introductions to Local and District councils, Council Growth Hubs, Chambers of Commerce, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) Business Innovation Centres (BICs) and many other Business Networking organisations and events.

We have also supplied an approved 'Introduction to GDPR Course' for the Open College Network which promotes SHIELD membership and generates interest in the programme nationally for our Ambassadors.

Ambassadors can also increase their reach and income by working with approved Brand Influencers and District Mentors.

Ambassadors organise Workshops and speak to existing and new clients at various events, regarding Data Protection, the latest news from the Regulator and Membership of the S.H.I.E.L.D. programme.

Ambassadors Recommend & Connect S.H.I.E.L.D. Holders to work with other compliant businesses across the network.

It is the Ambassador's primary role to ensure all the businesses in their area become aware of their responsibility to be compliant under the GDPR and other Data Protection Legislation.

The role is ideal for someone with experience of speaking with people at Business owner and Board level, confident communicators, who are at ease with explaining complicated subjects in straightforward terms. Our existing Ambassadors have been drawn from many previous walks of life. We have Business advisors, ex Military personnel, and Marketing professionals.

They all have something in common, which is a desire to Mentor and advise business people, giving excellent customer service and ensuring their clients benefit from greater knowledge and support about Data Protection.

What Training do Ambassadors Receive?

All Ambassadors attend their Introductory training at Transition Law Head Office. There is no need for any previous Legal training or experience, as your introductory training will teach you everything you need to know.

Ambassador training is delivered over two consecutive weekends (Four days in total) allowing the student Ambassador time for reflection and additional study between classroom sessions. The training is designed to fit into the schedule of someone who is already working. The flexibility of being an Ambassador allows for full and part time involvement.

Following successful completion of the course, a new Ambassador is allocated a legally trained Mentor who will be available to answer questions and provide practical help in the commencement of their new role.

Transition Law offers a Complete, End to End Solution for GDPR & Data Protection compliance for SMEs. Ambassadors are trained in all aspects of the process and they become familiar with a tried and tested methodology for explaining the necessity and the benefits of S.H.I.E.L.D. Membership.

It goes without saying that many businesses are not compliant with the new Data Protection Regulations. Consequently, Ambassadors need to be familiar with the entire compliance process, so they can recognise a non compliant business situation. 1)  The SHIELD programme is Free of Charge to any compliant business. It can be used to demonstrate GDPR

own website. The business can also use the SHIELD logo on their website, emails and business stationery.

and Data Breaches, should one occur.

D)  Data Protection Training

1)  One of the primary tasks for compliance in GDPR and Data Protection is to ensure all staff members are trained in

the protocols. This is especially important where the staff are customer facing because they can be the recipient of

a Data Protection Statutory Enquiry, known as a Subject Access Request.

2)  A Subject Access Request can arrive in any form, including verbal, they are time limited and If the staff don’t know

what it is or how to deal with it, they can cause the business to pass the allotted time for a response and risk being

reported to the ICO or even fined.

3)  Transition Law has developed a series of workshop presentations for GDPR training, suitable for business owners

and staff. The presentations are tailored to the bespoke needs of the business and can run from an hour up to a full

     weekend of interactive ‘Bootcamp’ activities.

4) Using bespoke packages for staff training demonstrates a ‘Culture of Compliance’ within your business which the

ICO investigators will be looking for should the business become subject to an official Audit following a complaint.

5)  Data Breaches under GDPR must follow a self-reporting system. The business is required to send notification of

the Data Breach to the ICO within 72 Hours. The initial report is done Online.
